Best virtual try-on apps for Shopify (2026)

Six apps verified against their Shopify App Store listings on July 26, 2026.

The right Shopify try-on app depends on whether your returns are a styling problem or a sizing problem. For sizing, DressApp is the only app here that collects body measurements and returns a recommended size with a fit description per size. For track record, Antla has the most reviews - 48 since August 2024. For testing at no cost, GenLook gives 10 free try-ons a month with a real track record behind it, and Reality Try gives 20.

Full disclosure: DressApp is our app, and it is entry number three below. Read our entry knowing that, check the listings yourself, and note that DressApp has the newest listing and no reviews yet - which is a real reason to pick someone else.

3. DressAppOur app

Best for: Fashion merchants whose returns are driven by size rather than style

Listed since:
May 29, 2026
Rating:
No reviews yet
Entry price:
$24.99/mo for 100 try-ons, or Pay Per Sale at 5% of attributed sales
Shopper provides:
One photo plus body measurements

What sets it apart: The only app here that builds a reusable shopper model from measurements, so the render is tied to an actual size: the shopper picks M or L and sees how that size drapes on their own model, in multiple poses, front and back. Every other app here produces one generic render of the garment. It is also the only one with a no-monthly-fee plan that scales without a try-on cap.

Why you might not pick it: Newest listing here and no reviews yet. Needs one photo like the rest, but also asks for body measurements, which is one more step than the others. No WooCommerce or PrestaShop app.

What this list leaves out

This page covers apparel try-on apps on the Shopify App Store that we opened and verified ourselves. It deliberately excludes:

  • Category-specialist tools for eyewear, jewellery, footwear and beauty - FittingBox, Camweara, Kivisense and Banuba are the names that come up, and if you only sell one of those categories a specialist will usually beat a general apparel try-on.
  • Apps we could not verify at the source on the date above. Rather than repeat other roundups' numbers, we left them out.
  • Any app where we would have had to guess at pricing or features. If it is not on their public pages, it is not on this page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best virtual try-on app for Shopify?
There is no single best app - it depends on what your returns are made of. If size drives your returns, DressApp is the only app in this list that takes body measurements and returns a recommended size. If you want the most-reviewed option, Antla has been listed since August 2024 with 48 reviews. If you want to test at no cost, GenLook has 10 free try-ons a month and Reality Try has 20. DressApp publishes this list and is one of the entries, so weigh it accordingly.
How much do Shopify virtual try-on apps cost?
Entry subscriptions cluster tightly around $19.99 to $24.99 a month for roughly 100 try-ons. GenLook, Lookify and Reality Try start at $19.99, DressApp's Starter is $24.99, and Antla's Trend is $19.99. Free tiers range from none (Antla) to 10 try-ons a month (GenLook, Lookify) to 20 (Reality Try). DressApp's Pay Per Sale plan has no monthly fee and no try-on cap, charging 5% of sales attributed to DressApp instead.
Do any Shopify try-on apps recommend a size?
Of the six apps verified for this page on July 26, 2026, only DressApp documents a measurement-based size recommendation with a fit description per size. The others generate a try-on image from a shopper photo without collecting measurements, so they show how a garment looks rather than which size to order.
Is there a free virtual try-on app for Shopify?
Yes. GenLook and Lookify each include 10 try-ons per month free, and Reality Try includes 20. TryOn Virtual has a free Starter plan. DressApp's Pay Per Sale plan carries no monthly fee and no try-on cap but takes 5% of attributed sales. Antla has no free plan, only a 7-day trial.
Which try-on apps work outside Shopify?
GenLook lists WooCommerce and PrestaShop alongside Shopify and publishes a REST API at $0.08 per generation. DressApp offers a JavaScript SDK for any storefront plus a REST API from the Pro plan up. Antla is Shopify only.
How should I test a virtual try-on app before committing?
Install it on ten products that represent your real catalogue, not your best studio shots. Try it on yourself with a normal phone photo. Check three things: whether the rendered garment is recognisably your garment including prints and hardware, whether the size guidance matches what you know about your fit, and what share of shoppers who open the widget finish the flow. Then read your return rate only after a full return window has closed.
